Need a crown

The doctor prepares your tooth by shaping it and removing all damaged portions. Local anesthesia ensures you are comfortable at all times.

Dental lab

A dental lab makes your new teeth. The next step in the tooth crown procedure is to take a detailed impression of your newly prepared tooth. The impression is then sent to the lab with our prescription. Your new tooth will be handcrafted to our exact specifications. This takes a week or two. During this time, a temporary crown projects your tooth. You will need to take a bit more care while wearing a temporary crown. It’s best to avoid hard or sticky foods that could loosen or break the temporary tooth.

Permanent tooth

Your permanent tooth is placed on your next visit. We remove the temporary crown before trying on your new restoration. During this visit, we make sure the fit and appearance are perfect. Once we are satisfied, we cement the crown in place. Crowns are made of metal alloys. Metal alloys are polished to a high sheen. They are suitable for repairing back teeth where there is little room. We can provide you with metal alloy crowns covered up with lifelike porcelain. This creates an aesthetic look.
